2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca

My Ebay posts have been pretty scarce as of late and almost non-existance but lately I have been scanning the auction site to see whats available.  Today I came across an auction for the not yet released 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca edition which is being auctioned by Sarasota Ford in Sarasota, Florida.  The Ford dealer is receiving allocation for one Laguna Seca packaged Mustang Boss 302 and he has turned to Ebay to try and sell the pre-order slot.

The auction has just over 4 days left on the clock with a ‘Buy It Now’ price of $99,000, yes you read that right.  Do remember the starting MSRP of the Laguna Seca package is $47,990, so this Ford dealer is trying to double his money. We knew markups were coming but double the price is a bit insane.

Check out the Ebay auction here.

I thought the same thing when I seen this auction on ebay, $99,000 is insane. People might want to wait for the 2013 Boss to come out. Seen a pic of the 2013 Boss on the Speed channel show it has 1970 style black stripes, no black roof and nice colors Grabber Green, Grabber blue, Red and Yellow. 2013 Laguna Seca package is Black or White with yellow stripes. I dont know about the Laguna Seca colors seems a little to over the top for a Boss Mustang. I love the rear seat delete and the gauges though wish it was an option on the regular Boss.

I wish Ford would offer the Boss mechanics in a plain wrapper. No graphics, no Boss VIN, no loud colors, just the performance upgrades. Something like the 5.0 LX in the 90s – all the power and none of the extra GT body plastic. Let the collectors pay $20K over MSRP and hoard the limited ‘authentic’ Bosses. Sell the rest of us the ultimate sleeper Mustang for autocross or track days.

i think the dealers forgot the fiasco of the priceing of the kr 2008 and all they see is money and not us normal people who keep tham in business.shame there is people who got more money than sense.i have a cobra svt 2004 and a gt500 2010 shelby and i still think the 2004 svt is one of the best ever produced for the money and fun.so come on svt give us something special for 2013 .
