Mustang GT-R Concept Auctioned for $110,000

MustangGT-RConcept_05We first laid eyes on the Mustang GT-R concept back in 2004 at the New York Auto Show just after the S197 Mustang platform was introduced and although the race-inspired vehicle never made production its still one of the most popular concepts ever built by Ford Motor Company.  The GT-R concept recently sold at RM’s Monterey auction for $110,000.

The GT-R concept featured a 5.0-liter motor pumping out 440 horsepower along with a host of custom parts including carbon fiber racing seats, carbon fiber dash, alcantara wrapped steering wheel and side exit exhaust.
