Ford Racing has officially added the Boss 302R intake manifold to its website complete with details and pricing. Originally thought to be the Boss 302 intake manifold it will retain The Boss 302R moniker which is original equipment on the Mustang Boss 302R and Boss 302S race cars. The Boss 302R intake manifold will fit all 2011-12 Ford Mustang GT’ 5.0-liter engines. Its made from a light-weight composite material, (no its not metal, it just looks like it) featuring short runners for optimum flow at high rpm’s. Adding this to your Mustang GT 5.0 will require a new calibration tune. Also included but not shown in the photo is a unique Ford Racing intake badge. The Boss 302R intake with part number M-9424-M50BR retails for $599 on Ford Racing’s site. No horsepower gains have been posted but I would expect it to be around a 50 horsepower gain.
