Press Release:

Every year on the first weekend in June, the Carlisle Ford Nationals brings together thousands of Ford fans and their favorite cars for a 3-day celebration of the Ford brand.

Known for its special attractions and giveaways, the all-Ford event features an added contest this year called “Coyote Countdown” – a cool, on-site engine-swap demonstration that gives you a chance to win a new Ford Racing “Coyote” 5.0 V-8 crate motor or $1,500 in Ford Racing Performance Parts!

For the 2011 show at the Carlisle Fairgrounds that runs June 3-5, Carlisle Events has teamed up with Ford Racing and Kurgan Motorsports of Braselton, GA, for this unique Coyote 5.0-liter engine swap promotion that you can both witness – and win! Kurgan Motorsports will be driving a tired-but-still-running 1993 Mustang coupe to the show and transforming the old Fox into a new Coyote right before your eyes!

With the clock counting down, technicians from Kurgan Motorsports will remove the Fox Body Mustang’s original, worn V-8 and replace it with a brand-new Ford Racing “Coyote” 5.0 V-8 crate motor at a special display set up inside Building T. Ford Racing will also supply their EZ-Install wiring kit for the application in order to show just how quickly and easily this job can be completed!

But just how long will the swap take from start to finish? That’s where YOU can give your best guess – and get two ways to win two spectacular prizes! Start online at www.carlisleevents.com to enter for a chance to win $1,500 in Ford Racing Performance Parts. The first person to correctly guess how long it will take Kurgan Motorsports to complete the Coyote engine swap wins! Numerical entries must be made in hours and minutes only (no seconds), with the contest ending the moment the Mustang moves under its own power following the engine swap. All entries must be recorded by 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, May 30, 2011, to be eligible.

Second, if you visit the Kurgan Motorsports “Building T” display in person during the Carlisle Ford Nationals, you’ll get the chance to enter a drawing to win a brand-new Ford Racing “Coyote” 5.0 V-8 crate motor, just like the one used in the engine swap at the show! The contest opens at on Friday, and all entries must be submitted by the close of the show on Sunday afternoon to be eligible to win the engine. Carlisle’s website will feature a clock showing the elapsed time for the swap (breaks and overnight event closures are not tallied into the total time) and a time-lapse video of the entire build will be available shortly after completion.

The newly Coyote-powered Fox Body Mustang will start-up, drive out of the building and if completed in time, join the rest of the weekend celebration for the All-Ford parade, burnout competition, and more!

The Carlisle Ford Nationals is one of the largest all-Ford shows in the world! In addition to more than 2,200 Fords of all vintages on display, there will be new-Ford test-drives, industry guests, car giveaways, drag racing, a burnout competition, club gatherings and an All-Ford Downtown parade. Don’t miss this annual pilgrimage to Pennsylvania for the Blue Oval faithful!
