Several 2012 Mustang Boss 302’s were caught just hanging around outside the AAI plant waiting to be delivered to owners across the U.S. The photos were taken by a forum member over at TheMustangSource with most of the colors represented including Performance White, Yellow Blaze, Competition Orange, Kona Blue, and Race Red. I live in australia, why do American’s call a car that is made in 2011, sold in 2011, registered in 2011 and driven in 2011 a 2012 car?
To Mike,
The mustang is a different car than most others as most other cars the 2012 line up starts in roughly in october/november. The mustang goes back to it’s roots and starts it’s next model year in April. From the look of the photo’s, even earlier for the 2012 models. When mustang was born, she was born in april of ’64 for the ’65 model year. That is why you can be driving a’12 model in the early months of 2011.
Mike – Most Americans will pay almost anything to be the FIRST on the block to get the latest , most advance , newest WHAT EVER and the car companies know this. I had two mustangs ( 67′ & 73′ convertibles) back when you only got a 12 month / 12000 mile warranty because they were designed and built to fall apart quickly so we would trade UP. Fit & Finish was unheard of and then the Japanese
turned that all around and offered longer & better warranty’s. Today the American
car companies need to push the 2012’s sooner to get the buying public excited , fired up and ready to go out and buy or lease their newest model’s along with trying to get a jump on their competitive auto makers.
” Buy Me First ” is still an old slogan in America that seems to work along with
” A Fool and his Money will soon part Company. ” or P.T. Barnum’s comment
” There’s one born every minute! “
