Video: Mustang flips at Formula Drift event in Las Vegas

This past weekend at the Formula Drift event in Las Vegas Jim Guthrie had one heck of a crash as he flipped his Mustang. While drifting through a turn in the Formula D Pro-Am Guthrie locked up his brakes sending him nose first into a wall of tires at high speed. What happens next is hard to watch as his Mustang flips and lands upside down on its roof.  Guthrie was uninjured and the Mustang should be repairable.  Check out the video below. … Continue Reading

The World’s Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world’s best super cars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012.  The epic faceoff consists of a quarter-mile sprint for the ultimate bragging rights.  This year the 2013 Shelby GT500 with its 662 horsepower supercharged 5.8-liter V8 gets a spot to prove its not all about the price tag.

Ford Motor Company, Shelby American, Ford Racing plus a host of many others took the time to build a custom 2013 Shelby GT500 Cobra as a tribute to the late Carroll Shelby.

2012 Woodward Dream Cruise to feature 800 Mustangs and 20 Years of SVT Performance

Its time again for the intersection of 9 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue in Ferndale, Michigan to be transformed into Ford Motor Company’s Mustang Alley, an annual free attraction, run by more than 300 Ford volunteers during the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Mustang Alley and all the scheduled events are set for Saturday, Aug. 18th no matter the weather conditions.  This famous destination will feature more than 800 classic and modern Mustang models from 1964 through the present day, a 20th Anniversary display of Special Vehicle Team (SVT) vehicles, a celebrity appearance by Vaughn Gittin Jr., Ford professional drivers in a “Burn out Box” and finally, a chance to win a rare 2013 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca for a mere $10.

Photo of the day: Mustang convertible takes plunge into waters of Mobile Bay

What would be your first reaction to a wall of brake lights as you are cruising down the highway with no chance of stopping?  Would you hit the brakes and hope for the best or would you steer yourself off the road to avoid hitting other cars.

2014 Mustang details emerge, new colors include Ruby Red and Oxford White

A few details about the 2014 Mustang have been posted over on TheMustangSource forums with the most newsworthy being the addition of two new colors and a new appearance package for the GT and V6 models.  The two new colors include Ruby Red (RR) which will be replacing Red Candy (RZ) and Oxford White (YZ) will be replaceing Performance White (HP).  The color Ruby Red is new for the 2014 Mustang but Oxford White makes a return as it was last offered on the 2001-04 Mustangs. … Continue Reading
