Saleen 351 Mustang packing 700-horsepower announced at the L.A. Auto Show

At this years L.A. Auto Show Steve Saleen made his comeback story complete with the announcement of his latest creation, the Saleen 351, a 700-horsepower Mustang featuring a supercharged 351 c.i. V8 engine.  The Saleen 351 is the first vehicle Steve has announced after regaining control of his fledgling Saleen brand.  No word yet on whether this aftermarket Mustang will be a 2013 or 2014 model year build.  For all the details check out the high-res image and press release below. … Continue Reading

50th Anniversary Mustang to be 2014 ½ model according to Ford rep

Over at TheMustangSource forums a Ford customer service representative posted details about the upcoming 50th anniversary Mustang and its 2014 ½ model year designation.  Over the past year or so there has been rampant speculation coming from the Mustang community as to what Ford has planned for the 50th anniversary model and one Ford rep summed it all up in a few sentences.

2014 Mustang V6, GT and Shelby GT500 Pricing released

Its been a busy couple of months for 2015 Mustang mules as they have been spotted out and around the Michigan area testing.  The latest spy shots show us the engine bay which features the new frame and a very snug 5.0L motor (no way a 5.8L motor fits in there).  In the pic above you can clearly see how the frame rails angle toward the grille mid-fender unlike the square engine bay of previous models.  This leads us to believe an EVOS look is in store for the 2015 Mustang. … Continue Reading

2012 Shelby GT500 driver loses control, shears wooden utility pole in half

Mustang Photos from Hurricane Sandy, Over 200,000 vehicles wiped out

Its being reported by a few news outlets that Hurricane Sandy, the largest Atlantic storm in U.S. history could be responsible for the loss of as many as 200,000 new and used vehicles.  New cars account for about 15,000 of those vehicles with Nissan reporting it may have to scrap some 6,000 new vehicles.  Other automakers like Toyota/Lexus say they could lose around 3,000 vehicles while Honda/Acura could have to scrap about 3,500 cars.

Meanwhile U.S. automakers like Chrysler are reporting they have lost about 750 vehicles while GM and Ford have not given any estimates yet.  Fisker Automotive, a startup automaker of all-electric vehicles lost 320 plug-in hybrid models worth $103,000 each putting its loss close to $33 Million … Continue Reading

Formula Drift drivers Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Justin Pawlak created a customized one-off Hot Lime Green Mustang for one lucky contest winner who took delivery at the SEMA show.  Out of 100,000 entries on FaceBook, one lucky person was selected at random to receive this one-of-a-kind 624 horsepower beast of a Mustang.
