2015-Mustang-rendering

We are still two years away from Ford pulling the cover off the 2015 Mustang but rumors and renderings seem to keep popping up. The latest rendering comes to us from Inside Line and I must say its the best we have seen so far. The design is straight from the Evos concept that debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show with a few signature Mustang styling cues.

We all know the new 2015 Mustang will be smaller in stature and weigh considerably less, some are predicting a 750 pound weight loss for a vehicle that will be a true global car. Don’t expect much change under the hood as the 5.0L V8 motor will still be around along with the 3.7L V6 but the rumor is a new four-cylinder EcoBoost engine will make its way into the lineup.  Also the 2015 Mustang will finally shed the live axle in favor of an independent rear suspension to give the car better handling and more agility.

The official unveil of the 2015 Mustang should happen at the 2014 New York Auto Show.  Until than keep checking back for updates and spy pics.

When they make it a World Car it will cease to be a Mustang I fear.

That’s exactly how the Probe came into being….

  2. CobraMatt says:

Lets hope they don’t stray to far away from the signature Mustang look. If they are trying to reinvent the Mustang with a futuristic look like they did in 1994 it won’t do that well.

  3. 93GT says:

I don’t like the look, i am however in favor of the weight shed and keeping the engine options.

  4. Bluesteed says:

I certainly hope this is not the official design. First off, loose the blue oval above the grille and put the galloping pony in the center of the grill where it has always belonged. Next, pull the headlights down in the same plane as the grill, the “floating headlight” look works wonderfully on the new Fusion, but people are expecting a Mustang, Not a Fusion coupe. Lastly, the rear haunches and taillight panel need a more chiseled look, less melted clay, more muscle and sinew. It is a muscle car after all. Good luck Ford, the world is watching!

  5. greg says:

this is the worst rendering so far. let’s hope it trully is just a rendering and not a close to production model as the Ford “insider” says it is. awlful

  6. '06 GT says:

Make it smaller, make it lighter, hell, even lower the horsepower, just DON’T make it look like THAT! I don’t want a Taurustang or a Focustang.

  7. John Dundon says:

This would be a great PINTO.. but is NOT a mustang… Why not just call it a Mustang II and be done with it! they even had a mustang 2, “MPG” model… Like the cobra 2, goo looking car but its NOT A MUSTANG!

Who designed it, HONDA? It looks like a Honda tried to make a mustang.

  8. DiCarlo says:

I’m a 15 year old with a dream to own a mustang. Just about all other mustangs I know of,they make me go “ooooo mustang!” And pudding my mom off. I know everything there is to know about a mustang. That syling sucks. I would never dream of having one of those. Ford, you WILL loose money with this style. Change it, for the next generation.

  9. Adrian says:

Ford is so cheap they stole the front grille of an Aston Martin and now they gonna ruin the mustang by using this?
