Shelby 1000 debuts at the drag strip but no track times

July 13, 2012 Mustang News 2 Comments

The headline is a little depressing but its true as the Shelby 1000 made its debut at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drag strip where Shelby American was shooting some video and sound clips of its new 1,000 plus horsepower monster.  No quarter-mile times were recorded as this trip to the drag strip was solely meant for teasing us with some sound clips and video.  This Shelby 1000 is the prototype Supercharged track version which packs 1,200 horsepower according to Shelby American.

Turn up your volume and sit back and enjoy one beast of an automobile. Check out three videos and a gallery of photos from their drag strip visit below.

I have dreams about this car when I sleep at night. Now I have a soundtrack. That car sounds mean. Wow. If there was ever an elite, ultimate, pinnacle of Mustangs, this is it. To top this car would/will be something of a miracle.
