To say the 2016 Cobra Jet Mustang is fast would be an understatement after Ford Performance dropped the bombshell that its capable of an eight-second quarter-mile. Ford Performance continues the Turnkey race car program with the unveiling of the 2016 Cobra Jet at this years SEMA show in Las Vegas.

The new Cobra Jet is based off the 2015 Mustang GT platform sharing 75 percent of the Mustang GT’s production engine parts. It will be limited to a 50-car production run and its ready to go for NHRA Stock and Super Stock right off the assembly line. … Continue Reading

Ford and Petty’s Garage to Release Three Mustang GT King Edition Models

Ford is teaming up with Petty’s Garage to build three limited edition Mustang models to be sold at dealerships across the country. The Mustangs will include 243 King edition models, 43 King Premier and 14 King Premier convertibles. Each of the limited edition Mustangs will feature a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 670 horsepower. An optional pulley upgrade can boost horsepower to 727.

All King edition models will start life as a base Mustang GT and feature goodies like Magnaflow exhaust, Ford Performance Supercharger, matte-black HRE wheels, Ford Performance suspension components and several Petty’s Garage appearance parts. Mustang Crashes and Ends Up On A Roof

Santa’s sleigh came early this year as the driver of a red Ford Mustang lost control and ended up on top of a home in Perry Township, Michigan. It could be the most bizarre Mustang wreck I have ever seen or written about. The Mustang driver lost control on a major roadway and left the road careening through several bushes, trees and a fence before it ended up on top of a home. The driver of the Mustang was treated for low blood sugar and taken to a local hospital.

5.0 Mustang Blows Tire on Dyno at 150 MPH

Portable Dyno’s are at just about every major car event across the country and for the most part they are safe to be around except this time. A newer 5.0 Mustang GT blew a tire at over 150 MPH while on the dyno and it shredded the left rear of the vehicle so much so it bent metal. It was a scary scene as the Dyno operator took the 5.0 through the gears and eventually into 5th when the tire blew. Keep reading to check out the video.

Custom 2016 Shelby GT350R Mustang to be auctioned at Cattle Baron’s Ball

Ford Motor Company  will auction a one-of-a-kind 2016 Shelby GT350R Mustang to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the Cattle Baron’s Ball auction on September 26. The unique one-off Shelby GT350R will feature an Oxford white exterior with custom blue stripe which also matches the stitching on the interior including door panels, seats and center console. Other custom touches include Ford Performance Parts rear seat delete kit and “one-of-one” Cattle Baron sill plates and  instrument panel badging.

Jay Leno and George W. Bush Raised $885k with sale of Shelby GT350

Jay Leno teamed up with Ford Motor Company to raise $885,000 with the sale of a preproduction 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang, driven and signed by former President George W. Bush, at the Gooding & Company auction Aug. 15 as part of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The $700,000 hammer price grew to $885,000 with additional donations from auction guests. All proceeds will benefit George W. Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative, which helps foster a successful transition and reintegration from military service to civilian life for veterans post-Sept. 11, 2001. … Continue Reading
