1999 ford mustang brake removal

I am trying to remove the front brakes from a 1999 ford mustang 6 cyl and I am having troubles. I loosened the 2 front caliper bolts but am unable to get the caliper off. Do I also need to remove the 2 bolts on the backing plate if so How would i go about doing that without power tools?

loosen 2 caliper bolts and try compressing caliper slightly without damaging piston boots or anti rattle clip and it should pull straight up,you may have to hold slide pins while removing bolts for caliper !!
