Can anyone clarify bumpsteer for me a bit? My car has been dropped with the FMS springs, and the steering is a bit odd at times but not terrible. Exactly what condition do the kits solve? As it is now my steering feels "loose" Not an unresponsive loose but it doesn't have the feedback in the wheel that I am used to. Is the loose steering feel particular to FORD steering?(this is my first FORD)

You may need to get Caster/Camber plates. I am not sure if this will solve it or not.

Bump steer is usually a result of lowering a car to the point that the steering rack is at a lower plane than the attaching points to the spindles,which causes the outer tie rods to angle upward at static ride height. As you have suspension compression {going over bumps,brake dive etc.} it tend to toe in{front of tires come slightly closer together} and the opposite happens on extension. the way to cure this is by elevatating the rack{offset rack bushing }or bump steer kit {taller outer tie rod ends}
