And It Begins

Have put off working on the 88 for nearly a year. It took my son buying it from my wife for me to gain enough intrest to start. What parents will do for their kids. Pic is taken from a cell phone.

So what's the combo going to be? Are just going to race it or set it up for a particular class?

It will really depends on my son. Right now I am just trying to get it presentable. He has already ordered upper and lower control arms and I have to pull the rear to see what exactly it already has. Car is supposed to have 31 spline axles but I have my doubts. Orginally the car had a 347 stroker with a 150 shot of nitrous. Found that they had been launching this car with stock uppers, axle tubes that are not welded and no reinforced torque boxes. Right now it has a 302 with forged internals, a wieand intake and an e-303 cam. Engine is pretty stout and runs good.
We are going to have to fix some leaks and do a thorough going over before we hit the track with it.
