i just bought 87 mustang 5.0 convertible with an aod and its missing the air mass sensor that goes on the intake but car check engine lite is not on does this year of car have that sensor

87's were speed density. They didn't have a mass air flow meter that year.

corect. the mass air sensor was not used until 1989 models. i have an 88 and no sensor , also no check engine light either.
