eec problem

i got an 87 mustang 5.0 with an aod i bought a superchip for it and relize that my eec iv said for 3.0l tuarus and sable only is that the stock eec or not but my check engine lite is not on do anyone knows the part number to this thank alot

Your computer had either A9L or A9P on it(I don't remember which one is for auto's) If you had the wrong computer in your car you would know it. I think I have heard something about taurus/sable computers before but don't quote me on it. Just look for the code, everything will be ok when you see one of them.
