hello, newb here....my name is mike, i own a '77 ford courier 2.3l jatco auto trans with a '74 cab and bed
the original 2.3 had a bad cam and used oil, but still had a lot of balls
i replaced it with an '88 ranger efi 2.3
for now i am running the pinto weber carb untill i get the efi wired
the problem is the ranger engine is gutless
the '77 engine had HUGE oval ports, the '88 engine has little round ports, but the efi manifold had "d" ports
when did ford use this small port head?
i didn't think there would be that much of a problem with the mismatch in port sizes, but maybe i was wrong?
any help would be appreciated:confused:
