Well, my 17 year old son finally got him a Mustang. It's a 93 LX with 100k miles on it. Came from a ONE OWNER. Body is in outstanding condition. Engine, tranny and rear end seem to be in great shape also. We have been looking for a fox body in good shape and really lucked into this one. Next on the agenda................STROKE IT. Oh yea, it only cost $2500 :D

................STROKE IT.:D

Does that mean it's a 5.0?

Nah....4 cyl. But we will drop in a stroked 5.0. Didnt mean to mislead on that. Kind of excited myself to. Never to old.

Wow clean notch, to bad it's only got a 4 banger. I'm 16 and have had my mustang since I was 14 and it used to be bone stock :)

What an excellent platform for your son to start out with. He should feel very lucky to have that car and be very excited about all of the mechanical knowledge he will gain working on the car with you. He now has the Mustang world at his finger tips and the possibilities are endless. It's also a great way to bring the family together. Good luck!!! Keep us posted on the mods!

The thing that sucks about ripping it up is not having anything to drive while its in pieces.

Soon as he pays his mom paid off, she is financing him a 5.0. He ran it in th Low E/T Mustang Run here in Abilene. All he wanted was the Quickest Reaction trophy. I had it with a .516 until his last run and the kid hits a .509  on a sportsman tree.

I got mine ('91 LX) in '01 for $3,500. It had 91,000 miles on it, but otherwise similar to your son's. Mine was a 5.0 though, only because I didn't have the time or money to do a conversion. Crazy thing is, down here in Florida the four bangers can go for more than the 5.0's. You have to see it to believe it!
