Intercooled Procharger System for V6 Mustangs 1994-2001
ATI is proud to announce the introduction of the first intercooled supercharger systems for 3.8 V6 Mustang applications. Intercooled ProCharger systems provide reliable 50-80% power gains on pump gas, with the coolest charge air temperatures and greatest engine reliability available. These systems are also the easiest to install, with no need to relocate and recharge the air conditioning, modify the water pump, or punch a hole in the oil pan. These systems are 100% complete and can be bolted on in 6-8 hours with standard hand tools, and absolutely no fabrication or cutting of body panels. A three-year supercharger warranty is available with every V6 Mustang system.
This new system comes standard with ProCharger's patented self-contained oiling technology, which delivers cooler operating temperatures and eliminates the need to punch a hole in the oil pan. The P-1SC ProCharger is included in each system along with a highly effective air-to-air intercooler. Due to the tremendous benefits of intercooling, only intercooled supercharger systems are being offered. Thanks to the efficiency of both the ProCharger and intercooler system, Intercooled ProCharger systems feature far cooler charge air temperatures than any supercharger alone. The 1999-2001 3.8 V6 produces 290 horsepower with the HO Intercooled System (7 psi), and 345 horsepower with the HO Intercooled Tuner Kit (11 psi). The HO Intercooled system is 100% complete, while the Tuner Kit requires the purchase of larger fuel injectors, a computer chip and an upgraded fuel system (not included with kit). The HO Intercooled system contains a chip but does not require the larger fuel injectors or fuel system upgrade, and with a pulley change is otherwise identical to the Tuner Kit. For 1994-1998 model years, the HO Intercooled system produces 270 hp (80% power gain) with 11 psi of intercooled boost, and is 100% complete. All of these 3.8 V6 products are now available.
Using the 11 psi tuner kit, a 1999 Mustang with automatic transmission recently ran a 13.38 ET @ 105.4 mph at Kansas City International Raceway. The vehicle was stock with the exception of Flowmaster exhaust, a 3.73:1 gear and drag radials, and was running 91 octane fuel.
