My Mustang drinks too much

Hello everyone,
I just bought a white 2002 Mustang V6, but it seems to consume a lot of gas.
For instance with 20 dollars it makes an avarage of 170 miles. Does anyone know if thats normal??

That is not very good gas mileage at all. So when you fill it up you only get 170 Miles on the whole tank.

Mustangs have about a 15.7 gal fuel tank i think. I would estimate you get about 23 highway and maybe 17 city mileage for a normal Mustang. A little math.

You should be getting somewhere around 360 highway miles and about 266 city mileage.

If thats all the gas you get, you need to take it in.

I have a 2000 V6 and the best I've gotten with it was about 295 miles to a tank. It averages around 275-280 that's driving in town and about 10 miles of country road everyday.

I have no clue how many miles my Stang gets. I just pump the gas and drive. I new I was getting a gas guzzler when I got the Stang.

EX. 20$ @ 1.25 will get you 16 agllons therefor- 10.625mpg;
@ 1.50, 13.3 gals-12.78mpg;
@ 1.75 gal, 11.42 gals- 14.88mpg;
@ 2.00 gal, 10gal- 17mpg,
