The best bang for the buck is a Rear end gear, the gear set isn't that much but the installation should be handled by a professional and around here it's not very cheap to get a gear set installed. You could do some basic mods to your car I suggest getting a shifter, it will help you shift better and will give you shorter throws www.steeda.com has a nice shifter called the Tri-Ax. Exhaust would be a good step to take, JBA makes good headers, I believe www.cal-mustang.com has V6 Headers. Also Bassani makes quality exhaust and they do make a V6 Cat-back and makes it look like a GT with dual tips coming out. Personally dont worry about your ricer friend, from what I've heard they can do many N/A mods and are still pushing only 100HP or so, depends on what motor it has. Slowly but surely you can make your mustang quicker :)

It might cost a bit more than $500, but if you add a rear wing, a front spoiler, a "fart can" muffler, some better rims, change to a slushbox tranny, lower the car, a "cold air" intake, and add a crapload of performance stickers. Do this, and you will be able to waste that honduh!

OKAY OKAY, that was a joke about what he prolly has to make his honda "fast"
But if it was me, for $500-$700 I would add a T-3 turbo with a .80 A/R compressor housing and a .63 hotside. and run about 6-8 psi of boost. It can be done cheap if you have a few connections and rig it up yourself.
Good luck eating the RICE!

on edit: with the $200 you win, it can pay the extra money that you spend over $500!!

Hey
I smoked my friend with ease
I put dual flowmasters, k&n filter, computer chip , and 3.73 gears,
by the way he thought my car was a GT so before we raced we put 250 on it instead of 200, then after I smoked his ass, he said he missed a gear so we went double or nothing needless to say the same thing happend to him again so I almost won my money back HAHA, showed him what those hondas are good for.
thanks for all your help exept for the last guy,
hey buddy I also have a cobra but it wouldn't be much of a race now would it? How old did you say you were? 14? Do you even have your liscense? Didn't think so, I bet you can't even drive a standard can ya? Ain't it past your bedtime? This isn't a Go-Kart forum so maybe your in the wrong place son.

How fast were you going, or is the v6 stang governed?
Just imagine if he had wanted to take on the Cobra.

Well when I hit 100 I looked in my rear view mirror and i saw he was unbelivably far behind so I let up about 105, so we didn't actually go the whole mile and a half.
Yes I wish he would have raced the cobra, I've had it up to 135, the V6 runs very strong though for a 6 cylinder. Im very impressed with it! To say the least I haven't talked to my friend with the honda since I took his MONEY!! haha
I'm not sure if my car shuts off or not? What do you think it shuts off at?

I'd guess around 110......but maybe the V6 isn't governed.
