I have a chance to purchase a 1995 cobra R Mustang with under 3000 miles perfect, I want to get some feed back on what this kind of car is worth in real value. the owner has extra wheels & tires and al the offical paper work and many extra part new that go with the car.
however I am not sure this is a car I would be happy with as a weekend toy or even god forbit an investment.
Please give me your comments

I have seen a few higher mileage (30K miles) 1995 Cobra R Mustangs going for Mid twenties and you say this one has only 3k on the clock so I would estimate a good value on the car be about $33K or so.

Whille it is tempting to buy. the more I read on this car the more questions come up . This is a real race car it doesn't even have a heater according to the SVT cobra book and while it is fast its not fun to drive unless your on the race track. No radio , no AC , just brute and mussle .
I think I want a 1993 Mustang Corba street version , I wouldbe happier with a car I can cruise and have just a little bit of fun with.

You are right the cobra R's are really stripped down. The thing about them is that they are rare. They only made 107 93's, 300 2000's, and 250(i think) 95's. That isn't including the ones that have been wrecked or something else has happened to them. So yes the creature comforts aren't there but the prestige of owning an R is worth every part of it.

My friend a Ford Collector still has the 95 cobra R and since he has a new Ford GT and a Safire GT 40 he is nerrowing down his inventory in preperation to move his collection to washington state. While I am thing is this really a good buy for me I could only continplate the car sitting in my garage and driven to local carshows . With so many cobra look a like kits will anyone really care what it is?
Well I guess since it is in perfect condition with only 3000 miles on it and all paper work I could put it up for sale in a year.
But ford is comming ouut with such radical limited Mustangs one my not want such a car in favor of all the higher tech stuff due out in 2008. A hard choice to make although the new stuff will be expensive to buy and this car is a realsonable investment if it can hold its value and nothing goes teriblely wrong while I have it.
the saga goes on and If I get it I well post pictures and my comments .
My only drive was when it was new we got up to 100MPH on the freeway before we had to slow down its quick my be too quick for me?
