View Full Version : clutch problems
When I put my car in reverse it shakes extremly bad, the clutch doesn't slip at all, and seems strong, and it also makes a clicking noise. Kinda sounds like throwout bearing, but I'm not sure what do you think?

Does it make the clicking sound in reverse only? Is it constant or does it go away when the clutch is depressed partially, all the way, or released? The whole car shakes?
Be more descriptive.

I'd check for a broken trans mount or engine mount, that causes it to bind the clutch in reverse.
Also, bearing noise with the clutch out and trans in neutral means that there is a problem with the trans input shaft bearing, input pocket bearing, countershaft bearing, or speed gear needle bearing. I hope this helps a little, but I'd suggest lifting the car and checking the linkage and mounts.
Lemmie know if you find out more and I can try to help again, its hard diagnosing over the net.
