Got an email the other day from someone who wants to put a 460 in a fox-body. Anybody ever heard of any body doing this and if so do they have a website. Please let me know.
Most definitley. Ford put a 7.5L 460 in tons of F250's and F350's for as long as I can remember. In the early years they even put them in F150's. As far as knowing anyone personally, no. Check out Holcomb Motorsports. They specialize in 351 and 460 engines and swap parts.

Yes. Its been done. Im sure Ive seen it in magazines. A buddy of mine back home has a 460 Fairmont. Low 12s with a total investment of about 3500$ including the car which is nothing to be ashamed of if you drove it to the store or whatever. Hes had various drag related repairs. All that is factored into the money spent.
One of the magazines did a 460 Fairmont in 88 or 89.

You can buy custom headers, oil pan & pick-up & motor mounts for a 460 swap into a Fox from a few different companies. All you need to do look in a MM&FF & you find the parts to do this. Its also a fairly easy swap but there is not very much room in there after the headers are in.;)

....who put a stock '69 460 out of a Lincoln in his '88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe and it fits good with a C4 and headers, but there is no room under the stock hood for an air cleaner. With 385horses, it pulls the left front wheel about 5" when he launches with slicks, and the car runs high 12's.
