Does anyone here know anything about a Mustang called "GX" that Ford made in 89. I heard 3, or 4 of these were made. Does anyone know if this is true, or not? And if so what do you know anything about it?

Yeah I know about the GLX. I saw something in a Mustang magazine about it. I think it said they were factory race cars. I feel like kicking myself for not buying that magazine.

The GLX was far from a factory race car.;) They were actually more of a luxury type car but some of them did come with a V8.

I guess I should have worded that last post better.

Trust me I know what a GLX is. I was talking about the GX when I said I saw it in a magazine, and that it was a factory race car.

Sorry about that.:(

The GX was a rare supercar built using a supercharger, aluminum heads, gt40 upper and lower intakes, and a Saleen body kit. It had a great paint scheme, I have been told, but have never seen it yet. It was supposed to have some billets that looked too 80's, but everything else was killer. The dealer was John Bleakley Ford in Lithia Springs, GA and only 4 cars were registered. #1 was kept by the dealer, #2 was a GT that was converted, #3 was in a magazine shoot (someone send in pics!) and #4 ws wrecked and totaled out. Supposedly there was a fifth, but it was never "papered" properly, if it ever existed. I want to see the paint scheme, if anyone knows where I can look at pics online, please post back. Or freakin email me personally at redheadedguy@hotmail.com
Thanks!

More of the 93 GX.
This is number 3 of 4 made in 1993. John Bleakley Ford custom made them to compete with the Saleen's that they sold $37,699 when it was new. Has over $60,000 invested in it. (I have ALL of the reciepts)

Cartech fuel pump, 9 inch rear end, strange third member, detroit locker, 370 gears, 3 inch flowmaster race mufflers, P/A C4 with trans brake........and much more.

40 plus cars in the class, and I win. Never thought I even had a chance. This is the day they took the pics for the magazine.

It was a dealer car, not a ( Ford ) car.

A local dealer out hear made the same type of mustang called the Rogue.

After they had made around 4 or 5 of them, Ford told them not to make any more of them.

They where bad ass cars. A guy in the local mustang club had one.
