There wasn't a Cobra Mustang in 2000 except for the Cobra R, Ford offered one for 2001, but there wasn't one in for 2002.

It must have been some rough times for SVT workers around 99-02. I know they produced the 2000 Cobra 'R' ,but it seems they could have produced a cobra in 2000 and 2002. I think the deal was they were having to many problems with the 99 and didnt really know how to fix them or could not figure the bugs out. I have a 2001 Cobra and it runs fine for me.

Ford made 100 Cobras in 2002 but they were all shipped to Austrailia. I am pretty sure they look just like the 01's

Ford had to deal with the recalls and refits of the 99 Cobra so the line was stopped or whatever and no 00 Cobras were made.

I've seen pics of the Cobras that were sent down under, and they had two extra fog lights put in above the original ones (looked kinda weird). Other than that they looked the same.

So why didn't they make a 2002 Cobra?:(

rumors and spy shots and hype about the 2003 cobra would probably have desimated cobra sales in 2002. I mean really, why not wait one more year and get so much more hp.

Probably cause they were working on the 03 model.

There are a few (not sure how much) 2002 Cobra's running around. They were made available for Ford emplyee's only. I read about them somewhere but I forgot where! Anyway I'm not sure how true it is but, sure makes a good collectors car if you can ever find one.
