alright, so im the proud owner of a 65 mustang. Recently the brake master cylinder went out, and all my brakes, and i almost ran t into oncoming traffic trying to stop, but i managed to get the job done, and the only damage is the broken e-break handle. Im already converting it to a dual master cylinder off of a 67, and one day in the future when i have more money, maybe ill add disc breaks.
But what i really want to know is how do i tell what kind of heads would improve my performance? I know the engine isnt original, but its a 302 witha 4 barrel relatively new holly carb. I havent got the slightest idea what kind of heads are on it, but i definately know the manifolds arent stock.
My goal is 400-500 hp over the next 10 years. Would it be possible to get there with upgrading the current engine, or would it be more economical and smarter to drop this 400hp 351 windsor year one crate engine in her for 4k?http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?cat=E
Im new to old carb engines, and old cars in general but ive learned alot, none the less advice is appreciated.
