I have been watching this little red Nissan 240 SX for the last couple of weeks. He is hitting 8.0 in the 1/8th. Been asking around what he is running and get mixed stories of Turbo and Twins, but you never see him rev to spool nor do you hear a pop off. Car is very quite with hardly any exhaust noise at all. WELL, I got lined up against him the other night in a test and tune and took a spanking. He ran a 7.67 at 91 MPH. I managed a 9.1 at 77 MPH (no spraying). Caught up with him at the slip window and asked what he was running, he laughing says a 4 banger, and then gives it up. He has a Chevy 350 under the hood  Didnt feel so bad after that. :D
where did you race him at?
There is a guy in Houston that posts on TRS that has an LT1 in his 240sx.
He sprays the **** out of it though. I think he broke it in March.

This guy is in Abilene. Straight engine (I think) no spray.
Cool. The guy I was refering to used an LT1 from a road master, talks a lot of ****, and is mostly, full of ****. But the setup is nice.
I raced him once, and he sprayed a 200 shot on me, with the 4cyl, and he barely pulled me. The second time, I beat him by like 20+ cars.

This 1/8th mile is turning out to be an awesome track. These little Mustang's are Hell off the line. Even the stock ones give the T/A and Camaro drivers hell off the line. Fun to see them sweating bullets. I had a Camaro SS pull up on the first run, I tried leaving at 3500 rpm but didnt get a good burnout and lost traction off the line, but at the end, he was surprised to see my front bumper at his door. Second run he pulled up again, I got him off the line this time and never looked back. Dont think he was all that good at driving though. Gonna start spraying next weekend in 2nd and 3rd, maybe I can bring my times down alittle more. Best so far is 9.13 (1/8th) with a 2.0 60ft. WHEN I can get the tires to hook, maybe I can get around a 1.8 or 1.7 60ft.
Must be nice. My best 60 is a 2.07

I did figure out that I am going to have to get some street/strip struts and shocks. On one run, I hit second and got such good grip that I bottomed out the factory shocks  . Thought I blew my left rear shock, but turns out it is still functioning.
