Dont quote me on this ,but I believe since the car is 10 years or older they dont worry about the mileage being put down on their records because anybody can say it has a certain amount of miles when it has another and then chaos or mileage disputes occur. It is good you got it from a one owner because you should know exactly how many miles are on it.

If it has been owned several times the odometer could have went out for 20k miles and then fixed and then there is a gap you would never know about. Other times the miles go over 100k and if the car is in good shape you would never know exactly how many miles are really on there because someone could BS you about it.

I may have confused you ,but maybe not. Maybe someone has a better understanding of it.

It's nothing to worry about. The dmv just does not need to record the vehicle mileage for their records.
