clicking noise with clutch

After I have been driving in stop and go traffic for awhile, where I need to be constantly shifting; my clutch starts to make a distinct click or pop each time it is fully engaged. It is not hitting anything...any help would be greatly appreciated.

How old is the clutch? If it has alot of miles the disc could be separating or warped just enough to make a noise. Also if there are rivets one could be loosened when the clutch heats up.
Also could just need something as simple as an adjustment and/or the linkage greased.
Just guessing here, it's been awhile since I've dealt with a clutch.

Sounds like the throw out bearing or clutch cable. If they have never been replaced before, it's probably about time.
