This setup is the 5.0L/302 GT-40 - 345 HP Street/Strip Aluminum Head Long Block Engine Assembly that Ford offers.

302 cubic inch. 345 Bhp with M-6250-B303, 340 with M-6250-E303 camshaft, Ford Racing induction kit, headers, and a 65mm throttle body not included. 9.0:1 compression ratio (nominal). Ford Racing aluminum GT-40 cylinder heads M-6049-X303 and GT-40 valve train. Ford Racing high performance hydraulic roller camshaft M-6250-B303 (M-6007-XB3), and M-6250-E303 (M-6007-XE3) roller lifters and standard rocker arms. Great for limited budgets. It's the fast, easy way to add performance and reduce weight in high or low mileage vehicles. Fits kit cars, street rods, Mustangs, Fox-bodied cars, and trucks. Depending on your application, the timing cover and/or water pump, damper, oil pan and pick-up may need to be reused from your original engine.

B303
Good low end torque. 5-speed recommended. Significant top end above 4000 RPM.

E303
Perfect combination with TFS heads. Use with 5-speed or automatic. Potent mid-range and strong. Top-end through 6000 RPM.

So which cam should I get? Its the same price either way. I drive the Stang to work everyday and take it to the track every once in a while.

I would get the B303 cam because how many times do you race on the highway or go over a 100 mph.

Plus if your work is not that far of a drive ,which I don't think it is. I would go for the low end power.

Just my 2 cents.

i have to say that there are a lot better choices of cams on the market now to choose from instead of the alphabet cams from ford...hell some places dont even charge you extra to get a custom ground cam for your combo....if you want to maximize your potential a custom ground cam is the only way to go....but if your looking to change in the future, its not your best bet:D

The crate motor above comes with either the E or B cam. I'm not trying to get really radical with this thing, just powerful and reliable.

Do you mind talking with my wife about that one. She does NOT want the car to sound like that at all. That would be sooo sweet though.
