The mustang has got to be one of the greatest machines ever made..... There just so completely awesome in ever perspective..... I have only owned from 95 down, and damn I have had the time of my life working on them and driving them..... I currently have a 1995 Mustang GT coupe, daily driven car and she still runs like a dream even with over 180k miles on her..... Im proud of that..... She has taken me all over the US and have only had to change out the fan once and replace the alternator once!!!!!! Although I could not keep her stock either...... My baby has a few goodies on her that makes her unique and all mine!!!!!!! And let me tell ya boys something, nothing gives a woman more pleasure than the hp from that 5.0!!!!!

Well I'll try to help out....... you said you've replaced the Idle air control already?Theres a way to check that to see if it's still in play or not.... turn your ignition switch off, and disengage the wiring harness connector from your IAC valve..... get an ohmmeter if you can, and measure the resistance between the terminals of the valve..... normal should be between 7 - 13 ohms... if not it's bad.... It might also be air and fuel mixtures.... thats gonna be in the computer of the car....might want to check out the TP sensor also that works with your air/ fuel mixtures, spark timing and the EGR.... Id prolly check that first.... you can check all that yourself really not too hard..... Also you can do a system check on these cars..... kinda like thier own little diegnostic test.... you can use a voltmeter hook it up to the battery and thenthen hook it to your DLC ( data link connector) then use a jumper wire and attach it to the vehicle harness, works as a ground..... when you do this turn your key on dont start the car and your check engine light will blink codes...... Im not sure if the codes are all the same for all years or not, they have them in the Chilton books (the bible) but each code will troubleshoot a problem... so that is a good way of finding out the kinks........ Well let me know if I have been any help, I hope you can get her runnin right dude!

This is a long shot, but the same senario happened to my boss's vehicle. The post in your battery, are they the kind that can be removed and replaced. If so, you may want to replace them. My boss went through everthing possible and spent an ungodly amount of cash, ended up being a 5 to 10 dollar part.

As far as the original post, "Thank God for the Stang", I totally agree. Without this vehicle I would be..............................I would do.........................Hmmmm...I dont know what I would do.

I love mustangs, like you said they are great. You have a daily driver or a race car. Whichever you want. They are fun to drive and easy to make your own. I just love them and there will be one in my driveway forever.

I hope you can help me. My daughter drives an 95 mustang gt, stock, 5sp, with 122,000 miles on it. The problem is...the check engine light is on but no codes can be read. When the light comes on the rpm's are over the place and it will eventually stop running if it is idling. I have had it to three different people here in the town we live in and the one guy is suppose to know everything there is to know about mustangs and he can't find the problem. He has checked the vacuum and it is fine, we have installed new plugs, plug wires, pick up rotor, pcv valve, and ignition module.

Can you give me any help as to what is going on with this car and what they need to be looking for. She is going crazy and so am I.

Thanks
