so i have raced a bunch of times and won them all, well i got my first loss last night. i am driving at night and i see an old cavalier. the car looks fast, it is z24 which comes with nice factory ground effects and fiberglass hood and other stuff (it is a v6 with 5 spd) anyway i come up to him revving and trying to get him to race, he rolls down window and it is some 18 year old college dude, and he asks "go on green?" i say yes and smile cuz i think my v8 5.0L will rule his 2.8L v6. the light goes and that dude has some hardcore torque in that little front wheel drive, i mean that dude smokes my off the line like no other, but im thinking i have higher HP ill catch up, n osuch luck i have gas floored as i shift up nut he just gets futhur away, i found out later he had a turbocharged 3.1L v6 225HP 240 torque stock,k&n cold intake, magnaflow exhaust, 17inch wheels, but im not sure what other mods he had. that dude taught me a lesson, dont mess with some of them old i guess they are second generation 88-94 cavaliers, some have nice v6s and will spank you like they did me, hardcore

Sometimes those losses are unavoidable. I have had a loss similar to that. I was at an 1/8th mile track near my house and I pulled up against a 60's or 70's VW Bug with my 90 gt conv. That bug beat me by two or three cars. You never know what people have in there cars these days. There are alot of sleeper cars out there. Just be carefull who you race.

ok i unhooking my computer and getting ready for the move after this, anyway i talked to the cavalier owner today he is some blonde dude his car is a 1989 cavalier rally sport (RS) with a 3.1L engine swap (150 HP, 190 torque stock) with a 5 speed manual and hes got some perfect timing computer chips alot of mods to that motor, like bored out and crap, high perfromance everything and a turbocharger, but no nitrous oxide i thought for sure that dude was spraying juice but i guess not. hes got a k and n intake system with the filter and cold air intake. just about anything you can think of to make that motor tough hes got, says its an 12 second car at the track and thinks he can get it to mid10's with nos and more upgrades, that would be crazy ass. and get this, he has a rear wheel drive conversion those things are stock front wheel drive but i looked and there is a drive shaft!! the car looks like a big sleeper then i would have never guessed,

Thanks for the heads up cause he will give me a run for my money
I just bought a 1989 Chevy cavalier z24 last saturday. everytime i drive it i always have cops staring at my car. wth? lolz. it always makes me want to go fast. the guy i bought it from said it easily tops out. its in great condition. and plus im only 17 years old..... my car is freaking fast as hell. the guy put a supercharger in it. my dad doesnt trust me with it that much. he keeps thinking i will end up getting a ticket. a car like that its more than likely going to give someone a ticket.
