I have an 89 5.0 and I am changing out the springs and shocks this weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations on what kind to get. I want something that will improve stability and handling without lowering my car.
Monroe Sensa Tracs, Tokico blues, or Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustables.
I have used all 3 and any would be a good choice. The Monroe's you can get at any Napa. Front P/N 71803 and rear P/N 5845. If you plan to go low at a later date I would go with the Tokico's. If not, then go Monroe. Stay away from Gabriel's or any other low buck option unless you want to do the job again six months from now.

Do you guys have an thoughts about struts for the front? I am in the process of redoing my suspension. As of now I have new springs and shocks in the rear. What reccommendations do you have besides change out the struts in the front? Should I get a sway bar for the front/rear?

While you have the front struts out you might as well add caster camber plates to it. It will save the work of having to take everything out later.
Also would be a good time to change your sway bar to frame bushings and sway bar end links. Give the outer tie rods and lower ball joints a look as well.
