I forgot that I went to the track last september, so I added some bone stock 1/8 mile track times. I know I am not a pro so don't laugh at the times. They could use alot of work.
It was my first time to the track with the cobra (IRS) and the wheel hop was terrible. The tempature if I can remember was in the high 80's low 90's. "Shibby" can attest to the bad wheel hop as he was having the same problems.
I am going to try and make it to the track real soon so I can see how the Kenny Brown suspension components helped out. I think they are going to make a big improvement over stock.
We will see...

You could say I was slightly "displeased" with the track conditions that night and had a few "choice words" to say about it. I stuck around a little while after Rigney and Skooter left and talked with a couple of F-body guys that were running 7.50's on slicks and they were also very "displeased" with the track conditions, claiming they were both running about four tenths slower than normal. Now that Jeffs01 has moved to town and a buddy of mine just bought an '04 Cobra, I think we will be heading to both Kennedale and Ennis quite a bit this season, getting as many of us together as possible.

who bought the 04 cobra shibby.
The service writer at one of my national accounts. He's been hittin' me up for info for a while now and he finally bit the bullet last Saturday. We went to lunch yesterday and he let me drive it. I didn't really get on it cause it only has 250 miles on it. It's really no different from our cars just driving it around. The low end torque is much more responsive though. The big difference is going to be when you really stand on it, but he is going to wait for that till the motor and tranny is broken in. I like the way the six speed shifts, it's like having a short shifter on ours. All the tranny and clutch complaints I've heard are most likely coming from little girls who just are not used to heavier clutch and beefy tranny. It drove like a jewel for me. He's real interested in meeting everyone and wants to hook up for a dinner some night. He is already wanting to do the Kenny Brown aluminum diff bushings and torque brace cause of the wheel hop. He plans on coming to my house and having me help with whatever mods he does and maybe even making it another project car. The car also has an annoying upshift light in the cluster but that I can fix. All in all, he's already hooked.
