i own a 98 "boss 3.8" im trying to give it a little pride so im dropping a 5.0 in it in may of this year. i already have a body kit on it and the plans arent stopping. right now im trying to find out how i can put in some t-tops or a targa top. i havent found any literature on it so im thinking that it hasent been done yet. if any one has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see that one happening easily. Even the convertibles have almost 300lbs. of extra reinforcement to make them safer in collisons and rollovers. It sounds like a cool idea but I think the hassle would far outweigh the novelty. Be proud of your hardtop and invest the money in the motor. Keep us updated with lots of pics on your progress.

once again, more questions .... does any one know how to take out the side scoops on a 98?

They should be held in by clips and you will need to pry them out with a little persuasion. I would do this from the center hole instead of the outside edge to avoid damaging the finish around the scoop.
