Whenever i rev my engine and it reaches about 4500rpm's, it starts to sound and stutter as if it were red lining. Why is this happening?
What kind of car and what motor?

it's a 2002 v6 mustang....
Pull the plugs and see what they look like. How many miles? How long has it been doing this? does it do it every time? Do you use a name brand fuel or cheap gas? You might have a plug that is unable to burn every stroke at that rpm. Have you considered trying a fuel injector cleaner like Seafoam or Lucas fuel treatment(both available at Napa. Seafoam part number SF-16 and Lucas part number 10020)?

I use brand name gas. It's been doing this for a while now. I haven't checked the plugs cuz i haven't had time. but thanks for the imput. i'll do that as soon as i can. I also use a fuel injector cleaner. I forget what the brnad of it is though.
