Pedal Extenders

2001 Mustang: I am 5'7". Has anyone else had a problem having to sit to close to the steering wheel to reach the chutch, brake and gas pedals. I would like to sit back farther. Does anyone make pedal blocks or have a solution to this problem.

I have not seen anything like that, but let us know what you find. I think there would be some safety issues involved.

I have done some research and they say it is dangereous to sit to close to the air bags. They say you should hit the air bag and that the air bag should not hit you. I designed some pedal extenders and installed them last night. They make it much easier to get in and out of the car without rubbing on the seat and steering wheel.
