Finally broke down and bought the MT ET Drags. Talk about an eye opener. I had been launching on Drag Radials at 4k rpm with some spin off the line. Lined up yesterday, did a little burn out, launched at around 4500 rpm and "BOG". Time was horrible!! Next run I launch near 6k rpm = NECK SNAPPER :D . I did get a little spin, SOOO, next run I bring the air down from 12psi to 10psi. Did a little better burn out and launched around 5500 rpm (hard to watch tach and tree at same time). Another NECK SNAPPER :D but no spin. Being my first time on slicks, my times did not improve that much. Went from a 8.61 to a 8.56 (1/8th mile), but I brought my 60ft down from a 1.89 to a 1.79. This is my new excuse for having to visit the track more often and better myself. Now to save up for my next "MOD".

Sounds like you are making progress Jeff. Now you just need to perfect your launch and your times should come down.

With luck, the Diablo chip I have can be set up as a 2 step rev limiter. That will help me be consistant on the launch. I definantly want the 2 step prior to FFW in Sept.

Shibby:
Let me know a date and I will try and be there.

Went out last night and tried to best my time. Track was hooking good and I ran a best of:
60ft - 1.73
330ft - 5.38
1/8th - 8.390 @ 80.91

Wife wasnt there for this run, so no video. (but I do have the slip :D )
I did get an individual in an 03 Cobra running a 7.89. Click on the link and it is at the bottom of the page.
