I am a female who purchased the very first 05 stang in my city. You would not believe the reaction I am getting! I had a guy almost wreck his motorcycle trying to get a look at it when I was driving it off the lot. I have the Windveil Blue Clearcoat Metallic. It is sooooo fine! The stories of the guys trying to talk to me these last 24 hours are unbelievable!
I personally do not like the 05 at all, I wouldn't give any more attention to an 05 than I do a v6

I simply posted my opinion and then she went from there
give it a few years and see how many people still want a Mach 1 vs a GT. The value on my car is going UP and I owe less than it is worth. oh, and its still faster than your GT BITCH!;)
So sexy when you talk dirty. You're making me blush.:D

Barbie, just how fast is your car?
Car&Driver, & Motortrend got 0to60mph in 5.1 sec. in an '05.
This is faster than the 5.5-5.6 sec in an '03-'04 Mach1.
We all know that the wine&cheese crowd are not drag racers,so this is a more than respectible time, and is indicitive of a low 13sec et.
My guess; Muscle Mustangs will go 12.90s stock.
Paul's High Performance has gone low 12s w/ mild bolt-ons.
Don't get upset. On the style index, our cars are seriously outclassed. Even my '03 Cobra will be outdone by the next model.
It's called evolution.
As great as we think our cars are, believe me, the '05 is superior in every segment.
I will never get rid of my '90,'92,or '03, but I will own an s197 at some time in the near future.
My wife & I wll more than likely wait for the next Cobra.
Go drive an '05, and then tell us what you think. I think your outlook will be different.

Barbie,
Your absolutely right! The driver has everything to do w/ how fast, or slow a car is.
I have a customer w/ an '04 Mach 5speed, who could not break 14.0 flat, I drove and handed him a 13.52 timeslip, and I am by no means a good drag racer[ much room for improvement ]
Another of my customers I'm sure could cut .2 sec off my time.
We all have our own personal tastes, that what makes us unique, our love of the Mustang is what we all have in common.
Isn't it cool?

Actaully she didn't "Start" anything. She simply joined the conversation of "Does the '05 Mustang get some tail?" She believed so and you come back with a crushing blow of, "Your car looks like crap!" Anywhooooo....It's over, let's get back to the good times.
That's it, I'm kicking everyone's a$$!!!:D

But it sure gets a lot of looks. but mine is a nasty eye catching red color. Got my first nasty look from a cop today. I wasnt even if 3rd yet, but way ahead of the rest that left the light. He didnt like that. I would love to race a mach 1 . I did race a very noisey honda. but once I hit 3rd and got close to triple digits I could bearly hear him behind anymore . I have a CLK (mb)creature comfort is not even close the mustang is way out classed but I do think it is faster. especially on a straight road. and you could have 2 stangs a red one and a silver one for the same price.
I heard its not good to keep '05 parked for more than 10 min. is that true ?

Sorry Barbie...don't mean to rain on your blow up pool and plastic dream house-was not scared to post a reply....just too busy having a life-which you obviously don't - as you are so tied to the computer. And what does having a boyfriend have to do with jealousy? We were talking cars! All the more shame that you need to hide behind your man. He'd probably have to be the one to race it against me too. If you want to go there....I have a husband, so I still have you and your has been 2004 model trumped! Just stick to being a barbie girl in your barbie world while the rest of us live in the REAL world.
And BTW FYI...you did start it with your put down remarks. I was not knocking your car, only saying how much I liked mine! You got catty first. It's a shame...just continues the steriotype of females hating eachother and being competitive. If you wouldn't have been such a bitch to begin with, I would have enjoyed conversing about the pros and cons of both our vehicles. I hope you can take that into consideration the next time a female gets on here talking about loving her stang too. But then, it may be that you are so conceited that you want to remain the "BARBIE" on the board and are intimidated by any other female who may or may not be cooler or more liked down the road than you. Don't give them a chance or run them off...yeah you ought to feel REAL good about yourself.
Oh and one LAST thing Barbie...I am so glad that you owe less than it is worth. That will help when you trade it in on an '05. I myself, paid cash. Sorry for ya! Those who can't-wish they could. Those who can...well, we are just too damn cool!

I had a girl follow me 2 miles to walmart, cos she wanted to look at my car. believe me its the car. if the '05 cant help you . nothing will. I thought it was a "guy" car. I am wrong. I admit it. more girls at work like my car than guys.
BTW. any march 1's in colorado.?? I ll race. I am not scared.

Wasn't it Barbie herself who said that I was too scared to reply to her email? Well, geez, where's the biotch now? Oh oh oh...I know! Must be winterizing her blow up pool!....or busy signing papers on her 05 and realized she ain't getting crap on her trade in! They can't GIVE the 04s away here now that the 05s are out!
WOW WOW SANDISTANG .. COOL DOWWNNN girl, life aint worth all that, juast cool down , this only a forum not a war zone.....and barbie would you please calm down a bit, and answer sandi:cool:

Sorry Guys...I know it isn't worth all that, but she just really got my panties in a wad. She was soooo ugly when I was only here wanting to talk about Mustangs and she attacked me from the get go. I should know how to deal with women like that by now. My whole life I have gotten along with guys better because women have always been intimidated by me. My friends always got mad because I was prettier and the guys paid me more attention. I used to feel sorry for them and try and make them feel better and they would still be bitchy. So I have gotten to the point in my 32 year old life...where, sorry..I am better looking than you and on top of that I have a dream husband and my life is soooo much better than yours.....just get over it....you can NEVER be ME no matter how much you wish it.....including that Barbie BIOTCH who lives in her dream world. I love it! So Barbie....EAT ME!

Since getting the 05 GT, I've had more looks and gawks at my car than any other vehicle I have ever owned.
I did not get the car to drag race or prove anything. I bought it because I wanted a car that would and could be a regular commuter car.
Both guys and gals of older Stangs have come along side, given a thumbs up and drove off, likely wishing that they too were behind the wheel of the car.
I am in the peculiar position of working for a local police department, where the street officers salvated over the engine and the looks of the car. Some already passed on the word to the local county officers that I have the car. Imagine walking out the front door and finding a police cruiser sitting in the driveway while the officer is peeking at the underside of the car.
I am not the hot rodder type. I do find the handling of the car supurb and talking to other owners of previous Mustangs who have stopped to admire the car, there has been no conversations about whether the car is better than theirs.
Respect between the old and new Stang owners, those who not only appreciate the improvements but what each car can do will be be held in high regard to each owner.
So whether it be an old car or a brand new 05, each owner will appreciate what their car stands for and its storied history.
