Just put an order in for a new GT convertible. I have a couple of weeks before the VIN number is assigned and need to decide on an interior color for black w/ a black top. Already decided on the interior upgrade package, so it's just left to color. Its basically a choice between black and red but I have not seen the latter yet in perosn. Your opinion?
Even though I hate the red interior, I would say it would look best with your exterior color and top.

Thanks. I am curious as to why you hate the red. Is it bright and gaudy? It looks like a deeper red in the brochure but I have my doubts. The last thing I want is for it to look like a pimp mobile.

It has a porno red feel to it. I love the red. You don't see any cars with red leather interior.

Since you are getting a convertable, consider the color fade issue over time.
Red will begin to loose its luster after a certain period of time. Black will as well but not as suddenly.
Consider "dirt" as a factor. How much will it show? Consider spring time if you live in an area with a a lot of pollen.
Black with black interior will get dusted yellow, red will be less of an issue, but will still show traces of it.
Just a matter of perspective from the owner to decide if he or she can vacum the interior every other day if you leave the top down a lot.

To me, the red is just too much and I always thought the red interiors in the Fox bodies was horrible. I think they should have gone with a light gray or tan instead of wearing out that gawdy red.
