Supercharger Options

I want to have the dealer install a supercharger on the 05 convertible I just ordered. Any thoughts on what the best option might be? Rousch? Saleen? Eaton? Others? I am not looking to go to the race track, just want to get another 100+ ponies out of her.

I believe the Roush and Saleen are made by Eaton, so that would be the way to go.

after 4k miles car is running great but i need more power. I saw this. No i havent ordered one yet. My wife is wondering why i need 480 hp .

For me I ordered a Paxton supercharger. I ordered it from Tony at www.Superchargersonline.com. I was told Paxton and Vortec is basically the same product except for the brand name stamped on the product.

I found the staff at both places very helpful and tech savvy.

The model I bought claimes 140HP increase which would bring the horsepower to 440hp on paper. The price was $3,495.00 (satin finish 7-9PSI)

A pully change adds more boost (about 40-60HP) for about $179.00 or less however I have not purchased that as of yet.

I did also purchase a water injection system from TeamZR1 who sells the snow performance water/methonal injection system for superchargers. This cools the intake air fuel mixture increasing horsepower. (About 40-80 HP depending on the outside temperature from what I'm told. Oh... I paid $380.00 for the Snow Performance "Boost Cooler" from JR at www.teamzr1.com

I am still waiting on all of the above including my green '05 Mustang GT to be delivered. I expect all in April. After that I will certainly post how it feels to have 500 hp in my 05 mustang.

In closing I would strongly suggest you talk to Tony at superchargers online. He's one of the nation's largest supercharger distributors however you still get the main man when you call. Excellent customer service and knowledge.
