Does anyone have any information on when and if the new cobra is going to be released? and if you know what the specs are going to be?

I bet it will come to light around the detroit auto show in a couple weeks. I too am looking forward to it. It better scream or people will be dissapointed i think.

The new S197 platform Cobra is due in 2006 as a 2007 model. No details have been released but some rumors are floating around it will have the supercharged 4.6 found in the 03-04 cobra with a little more horsepower coming from different places. I expect it to be something like 430-450 horsepower.

thanks for the information squeeeg and MR. I agree with you 100% squeeeg as far as it better scream and MR unfortunately that was not the answer i was looking for 07 model (LOL)...means not until end of 2006.

I think Ford SVT said it would come out middle of '06 so you may not have to wait till the end of the year. Still having to wait till then to get a Cobra fix is a long time.

Actually that isn't a bad time for it to come out for me. About that time maybe a little after i should be graduating from school and be getting a decent chunk of change dropped in my lap.

That is too long. Want the new one and want the cobra just dont know that i can wait that long.

Debating fix the 03 that i have now and wait for the new cobra or buy the 04 cobra.

Fix the 03 then you have some time to save up for the new one when it comes out. My guess is that it will be worth the wait
