Hello everyone! I'm in the process of enhancing my old 89 GT and recent purchase a set of 17' Corba R wheels. My question is, what tire size should I go with: 235/45/17, 245/45/17 or 255/40/17. Thanks

If you go to discount tire's website it will give you the size tire that will keep the same size so your speed isn't off. I think it is like 245/45 or something close to that.

Are they 17 x 8's? What is the width of the wheel?

Thanks. Discount tire + Tire rack recommends 235/45/17. Most tire retailers recommend 245/45/17. A couple of wheel shops stated that the 255/40/17 would work better. I guess I'll just close my eyes and pick one. The wheel sizes are 17 X 8(frt) and 17 X 9(rear). I was told that the 17 X 9 would rub. Thanks again

17x9 will fit you just might have to flip or maybe remove your quad shocks. You also prob want to go with a wider tire like the 255's on the back with the wider rim

Thanks Squeeeg. Will the 255's be too big for the front? I would like to use the same size on all four corners, so that I may rotate the tires.

I would go with 245/45's and 275's out back.

Ya 255 will be way too big for the front. I even think that 245 will be to big on the 89. It will rub on corners
