Hi there. :-) I'm new to this forum. I have a 2005 Mustang GT, which I LOVE. I've had her for about 4 weeks.

Just a question - have any of you guys tinted the windows on your '05 yet? Did you have a problem with the tint on the front windows bubbling up or peeling because of the whole automatic window drop feature when you open the doors?

Have a great day!

Cheryl

They told me it was harder to do cos he had to go down about 2 inches . whatever that ment. I didnt roll em up or down for a few days but the short , auto movement didnt cause any problems.
Huge difference . Makes they car look much better. GET IT done.

I can post a pic if you want

I had mine tinted already. I've got a couple of bubbles in the drivers' side window and was just wondering if it could be caused by the automatic up/down thing that it does. Looks like a trip back to the tint place!

I had mine done about two weeks ago. It looks sharp. Paid $115.00 at a local place here in Newport News. Here is a pic.

Hey, nbk13nw, you need a pair of the black or gray torque thrusts on that Stang! It looks pretty sharp though.

Thanks skooter! I do like the "old" school looks of the torque thrusts, but I was hoping to find something that combined this look with a little up to date look as well. Maybe that basic design and a little less rounded, flatter maybe. Hell, until I get something on the car I guess I will never know!

nbk,
That's one hot Stang....I wanted black but ended up with Silver. Getting my windows tinted today. I love driving the 05 GT, handles like a dream.

For those who complain about the live rear axle, go get a sedan or something. If you don't like the sporty drive of a stang, why would you buy one and then complain about it?

Thanks! And I know what you mean about fun to drive factor... I put over 1000 miles in the first 7 days on mine. Usually I drive about 300 a week. The pumps are my friend!

Just have the battery disconnected before the tint is done on the car. That will disable the feature where the windows drop.
