The April 2005 issue of Consumer Reports covers the new 2005 Mustang.

(Their GT is a 5 Speed Blue, with the 1000 Shaker Stero System.)

They were able to make their car do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds...

The Auto Tranny will do 0-60 in 5.1...

They were not happy about the live axle... (Dear CR... ITS a Mustang! Not a plush, soft riding European geek mobil!)

Gave high marks for the front seats, kinda lousy for the rear (But hey, few if any will be riding back there...)

Bitched about the A/C control location...

Gave good marks for the "lighted"cruise control buttons...

Bemoaned the fact that the mirror controls were not lighted...

Rated the handling better that the Pontiac G-6... (Duh Dear CR,... The G6 is front wheel drive, and only has a whimpy V-6... No freaking comparision...)

CR bemoaned the fact that the Mustang rear end tends to break free in hard corning, manuvers etc.

CR bemoaned the fact that the chrome around the gauges interferred with them seeing the guages...

Consumer Reports praised the 2004 Model Mustang's as now exceeding average reliability.

For more on the testing of the 2005.. find the April 2005 edition of Consumer Reports...

P.S. A Mazda was rated apararently better handling than the Mustang, but the Mazda has full independent rear suspension...
(Dear CR (yet again), Duhh.. Different cars yet again.. Please review each comparison... before sounding off...)

Thats right I also subscribe to Consumer Reports and was surprised at how they pissed and moaned about the car while at the same time they were thrilled to have test drove the car. Sometimes critics can be panty-waisted wimps who cant get over the fact that they own an Accord or Jetta.

Whatever!

Someone please pay me to drive cars and critique them for a living.
