[MY05GT]

Hi All,
Just bought my 05 GT 2 weeks ago. I wanted black on black but the dealer did the old "take the buyer out of the market" trick on me. They told me 8-12 weeks on an order. I called at week 10 and they told me 3 more months. I told them where to go and demanded my money back. So I went and got my money back and bought one off the lot that night from another dealer. Although I had to settle for silver, I still love it. Completely loaded except the Shaker 1000 upgrade. The Shaker 500 is plenty for me.

I just have to say the car is a pleasure to drive and very fast. Looking forward to a couple of mods.

Congrats on the stang. I just ordered a black on black GT too, but I'm gunna wait the 3-4 months for it. The only thing that bothers me about this mustang craze for the '05s, is that people are "settling" for colors or options they don't want since there is such a lack in production numbers. This is our money, we shouldn't have to settle. Ford should bend over backwards to get the production numbers up.

But anyway, congrats and I'm extremely jealous.

You know, I was worried about being able to get the MyColor package down the road, with the litigation pending on that patent. For some reason, that was important to me. It's very cool to have blue or green or purple gauges, very easy on the eyes.

Anyway, living down here in Miami, black is very hot and very dirty all the time. Although, I do get to drive my stang all year round, unlike some people who garage it half the year or more. The silver is probably a blessing in disguise. The black would still be my first choice, it's very tough looking. Although, the silver with light leather interior and stainless dashboard is very good looking, too. I don't regret settling on the color. It had everything else (loaded) I wanted.

The wait will be worth it for you. I enjoy every minute in that car, I'm sure you will, too. It drives like it's on rails, unreal. No other car I've owned handled like the GT.

If you wait 3-4 months for it, the 06 will be out by then. That doesn't seem right. EBay has 05 mustangs all over the place, including saleen, steeda and roush.
