Let's Set a Date

What do you say we set up a date, for Kennedale or Denton, to all meet up and do some racing.
I havent been in a few weeks and havent seen any of the DFW crowd in quite a while (from Mustang Heaven that is).

I'd be down for something in the next few weeks. I think Rigney plans on adding a few things to his Cobra real soon so he may want to wait until we get those on. I may be getting rid of my Cobra soon, so I might want to beat the hell out of it at the track before I give it up.

Name a place and time. I will be there. Would like to run your cobra one time before you get rid of it. By the way, why are you getting rid of it and what do plan to replace it with?

I got some parts I have ordered and they should be coming soon. So a couple weeks sounds good to me, maybe the first part of May.

I guess I've been tired of it lately. I think everyone else likes it more than I do. Don't get me wrong, it's a bada$$ car, but I drive in a lot of traffic everyday and I guess I'm just tired of a stick. My knees and ankles aren't as forgiving as they used to be.

If I can get what I want for the Cobra and find a nice '01 or '02 Lightning then that will be it's replacement. It's an automatic, it already has a blower, and will be just as fast, maybe even easier to make faster than the Cobra.

I don't think I can ever be happy though, so maybe I'm just in a rut right now.

There is a nice blue 01 lightning at the ford dealer near me. I thas been there for a while, they just want to get rid of it. But then again that is a long drive just to get a truck.

Well, my wife pissed that idea away for me, so I guess I'll just sit in my rut and sulk.

You know what your problem is? You havent spent enough money on it lately. Mine is at HPP as I type. Getting Houston performance P&P heads and cams installed .

So when we gonna race???????

You guys need to spend more time at the drag strip. You never get in a rut.

P.S.
You must have one smart wife

I haven't spent any money on it in quite a while. I've been putting all my money aside for the last year or so and we finally got ourselves debt free sans the car payments and mortgage. Hell, washing it on a weekly basis is a mod for me. I'd love to take it to the track and put skooter's slicks to good use but I'm afraid I'll break an axle and it's my daily driver. I guess if something breaks, it will give me an excuse to replace it with something better.

As soon as Rigney gets the parts for his Cobra we should set up a Denny's or IHOP breakfast and track day on a Sunday, maybe even head to Ennis.

As for Kim, please don't feed the ego. She's not as smart as she thinks she is.

Don't know how much longer the Kennedale track will be open! I believe the circle track in Kennedale has already been closed. I think it's the same people that run the tracks. I heard that the 1/4 mile track might be closing down for good!

I was out at Kennedale Wednesday night and the dirt track was seeing some action. I know they have 2 tracks that are side by side. Maybe one of them finally called it quits.
Wednesday turned out to be a pretty good night. Mostly cars with slicks and no front wheel drives tearing up the starting line.
