First 725 Horsepower Galpin Rocket Mustang Production Car Debuts

The Galpin Rocket Mustang debuted back in November at the L.A. Auto Show in prototype form and now the first production model has hit the ground running. The 725 horsepower Rocket was designed by Henrik Fisker and based off the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The extra ponies come by way of a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger sitting atop the 5.0-liter V8 engine.

Ford Mustang February sales numbers are in and for all practical purposes they were similar to January’s totals. The numbers don’t tell the entire story as February is a short month to begin with and the weather played another big role in hampering sales. The Winter storms rolling across most of the country at various times throughout the month kept folks away from the dealerships. Also February only had 24 business days to sell cars unlike January’s 27.

Bama Performance unleashes Bama Supercharger Kit for 2015 Mustang GT

The team from Bama Performance has unveiled a brand new supercharger kit for the 2015 Mustang which they tested extensively on their record breaking 2015 Mustang GT project vehicle. The new Bama supercharger system uses a front fed 2.9L Whipple Twin Screw design which put down 687 RWHP and 510 RWTQ during testing with their 2015 Mustang GT.

The flood gates have opened for the first 2015 Mustang GT limited-edition vehicles and the winner is Petty’s Garage. Ford and Petty’s Garage will team up to build 143 limited-edition 2015 Mustang GT’s in Stage 1 and Stage 2 versions.

All Petty’s Garage Mustang GT’s will feature a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger mated to the 5.0-liter V8 engine. Output for the Petty’s Garage Mustang GT’s are said to be 627 horsepower. Other goodies found on this limited edition Mustang GT include unique interior and exterior treatments along with Richard Petty’s signature on the dashboard.
