October 9, 2013 Mustang News No Comments

Vortech Superchargers is set to make a splash at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas with the debut of their Project Yellow Jacket Ford Mustang.

“As a lifelong Ford fan, I was inspired to create this project car when I realized Ford doesn’t offer yellow on the 2014 Mustang,” said Brian Ellis, sales, marketing and social media manager for AirPower Group. “We wanted to create something really eye-popping with a mechanical package to match the appearance.”

In addition to the yellow paint supplied by DuPont, Vortech added 3D Carbon’s Boy Racer kit, carbon-fiber cowl induction hood and other carbon fiber accents.  Under the hood is where Vortech does their best work so they fitted this 2014 Mustang GT’s 5.0-liter Coyote engine with a Vortech … Continue Reading

August 2013 Ford Mustang Sales Figures Released

September 6, 2013 Mustang News 1 Comment

Nothing catastrophic or depressing about August Ford Mustang sales unless you think a 2% decrease from the previous month makes much of a difference.  Mustang sales were also down over 500 units from the previous year for the same period but my guess would be the dwindling interest in the current model will drive sales down as the year comes to a close.

Those folks looking to snap up the last of the S197 models will find some deals but don’t expect much of a selection as Ford will start the marketing and advertising for the next generation Mustang come January.  Keep reading for a complete breakdown of August Mustang sales. … Continue Reading

Below we have complied a long list of Mustang concepts from the Ford archives which never made production.  Some are radical and some are boring but for the most part you can see the pony within. … Continue Reading

July 2013 Ford Mustang Sales Take Nose Dive

August 6, 2013 Mustang News 1 Comment

As I have said before history has a way of repeating itself and this year is no different as Ford Mustang sales took a nose dive in July.  Mustang sales were so bad for the month of July, they were off nearly 3,500 units from the previous month.  Why the big drop off, well its hard to say but my best guess would be less incentives and rebates along with a dwindling supply of Mustangs as Ford gets ready for the next generation 2015 Mustang.  Keep reading for a complete breakdown on the numbers. … Continue Reading
